All change – Website and Uniforms

The website developers have been very busy recently. They have made a few changes:

  • SHOP – The uniform and physical stationery shop has been moved from Buy Me a Coffee to the website. This enables administration to be more streamlined and it saves on By Me a Coffee charges. Payment can be taken by Debit/Credit Card, Bank Transfer and Cash when collecting at an event.
  • RESOURCES – Under the Resources menu there a Documents option that allows you to download free documents. If you have any useful documents you would like to share, please email them to support@peaceofficers.uk. There is also a Dictionary option where the Black’s Law Dictionaries can be downloaded from.
  • NEWS EMAIL – A regular email will be sent on Wednesdays at 11am that gives a summary of all the news items and events. This is to keep our valued members (both Peace Officers/Sheriffs and followers) up to date.
  • TELEGRAM-GROUPS – New telegram groups are being added all the time but unfortunately the Regional Map may not always be up to date as that is a more complex job.
  • FAQ – If you have any questions and answers we can add to the FAQ section then please email them to us at the usual support@peaceofficers.uk email address.
  • MEETINGS AND REPLAYS – We have a regular bi-weekly zoom meeting for the everyone one week and the Admin the next week. The zoom link will be found in a post in this section as well as in the Events section. Please note that only signed up Peace Officers/Sheriffs have access to the Admin Zoom replay. If you wish to attend the Admin Zoom then please email us at the usual support email address (support@peaceofficers.uk)

The website developers also plan to create an email based alert system where members sign up as a response operative/responder and they can enter an alert into the system and that information will be emailed to all response operatives. This is not an ideal system but is an intermediate system that can be used before we get an App created. This email based alert system can run along side the telegram system and is available to everyone not just signed up Peace Officers/Sheriffs. The developers are busy researching the technicalities behind this system and will need resources to purchase an additional add-on.

Order Administration and Processing

Due to the changes to the website, we are having a change over with the administration and processing of purchased good. Please accept our apologies for any delays with your order and contact us if you have any problems with your items.

Uniform

As the FAQ says uniform is optional and for those who like wearing a uniform we have now added another colour regime. We have now bought in Navy Blue items. We only carry a limited amount of each size and colour but with the new Shop system we are able to put things on back order so we can make up larger orders for our supplier which keeps the prices down. If you want to buy your own item that are a similar colour then please do. Both embroidered and transfer badges are available from the Shop.

We are also getting quality long sleeved cotton shirts of both colours that will have the logo/badge already embroidered on them. Our embroidery expert is currently researching shirts made of the ideal mix, thickness etc of cotton for the badges to be embroidered on. Please be patient with this. As soon as we have found the perfect shirts we will notify you all.
